The initial signs of aging that develop in the late 20s and early30s are that of small wrinkles that develop around the eyes (laughlines or crow’s feet), in between the eyebrows (frown lines) and on theforehead.
These early signs of aging can addressed with Botox (botulinumtoxin), which temporarily paralyzes certain muscles in the face in avery controlled fashion. Results usually appear in 2-7 days, andtypically last 3-4 months.
Wrinkles that develop around the mouth typically are not improved byBoTox, but require replacement of volume to flatten out the wrinkle.Hyaluronic acid (Restylane, Juvederm) has proven successful at plumpingout these wrinkles for 3-5 months.
